Book Summary and Analysis by Roberto Leon           


            Society as a whole has been noticing changes in the way we communicate with each other through out time, but this change is difficult to spot unless you take time to look at the past. By looking at the past you begin to notice the absence of technology and just how much it facilitates our current lifestyles today. While society seems to be moving forwards towards a better future, there are some mind-blowing facts that not everyone stops to think about. The influence technology and the social networks it provides affect us as a society and as an individual.

The Digital Divide: Arguments for and Against Facebook, Google, Texting, and the Age of Social Networking by Mike Bauerlein is a book presented in an anthology format. It consists of articles that range from Mark Prensky, a writer and influential figure in children’s education. Dr. Bruce D Perry a professor from Baylor College of Medicine and others to compile ideas of what is becoming of society through the influences of social networking.
